A few days ago, I reported on a story about an upcoming 8 megapixel Samsung mobile phone, complete with full touchscreen interface, called the Bresson. Well, it turns out it’s not the Bresson. The others rumours appear to have been correct.

It is, as reported on Engadget Mobile, the brand new, ultra-sexy Samsung M8800 Pixon.

It’s been a while since we had a post about famous mobile phones, so here goes, as mobile phones have been spotted in the M. Night Shyamalan film, The Happening.

Oh, and I’ll warn anyone reading this, right now, this post does contain spoilers, although, to be frank, they won’t spoil your enjoyment of The Happening as much as actually watching the film itself will ruin your enjoyment of it…

That should give you an idea of my opinion on it…

A few days back, I ran a story about a new Samsung 8 megapixel camera phone coming, dubbed the M8800 Bresson. Well, as of today, according to GSM Arena, we have some actual pictures of it, and a massive confusion over the name. It would seem that this powerful mobile phone is being reported by two different names!

So, which is it: Samsung M8800 Bresson or Samsung M8800 Pixon??

The first Armani mobile phone was, I have to admit (despite my rational judgment), a bit nice. Compact, sleek, and pretty, and with the touch interface that went on to great things in the F480 Tocco. Well, it seems Samsung are at it again, teaming up with the Italian fashion house for a second mobile phone, according to Engadget Mobile.

Called the Samsung Armani Night Effect, they’ve swapped the high-tech touch interface of the first Samsung Armani, for something a bit more traditional.

We’ve had a punch-up between the Samsung Omnia and the iPhone. We’ve had a brawl between two top-end 5 megapixel mobile phones. Now it’s time for a catfight between two sumptuous designer mobile phones.

Squaring their shoulders and strutting their stuff today are the Sony Ericsson S500i and its designer label nemesis, the Samsung L760 Ted Baker.

Now, this is an interesting story, broken by one of the retailers we have on site, Phones4U. After all the searching for mobile phone news, it pops up on our own doorstep! It seems that very soon, Samsung are going to be launching a second 8 megapixel camera phone, to go with the already-released Samsung i8510 INNOV8. Details are very, very thin on the ground, but we do know its name.

It’s going to be called the Samsung M8800 Bresson. And there’s no point Googling it, since every story links back to Phones4U. So, I’m guessing ‘exclusive’…

It was bound to happen sooner or later, a video of the HTC Touch HD has hit the web courtesy of Generation Phone House.  Althought the broadcast is all in French it does have quite a bit of eye candy to offer.  The pair show off the camera, youtube application, and there is a good comparison of the HTC Touch HD to the Samsung Omnia and Apple Iphone 3G.  The screen looks gorgeous.  I can’t wait until this hits U.S. shores.
