I left you with the following as the last part of my last post, ‘this is the week that Nokia either shines or moves to the B list of the cell phone market’. From the launch of the N97 today, all indications are that the only place Nokia is going with this is upwards. The device packs specifications equalling a fanboy’s dream, we had been waiting for Nokia’s QWERTY Nseries for long, but when they gave it to us they didn’t forget to include touch too. S60 Touch, Nseries and QWERTY make for a killer combo. Specifications to make you drool below.

The much awaited N97 is finally upon us, the next Nseries flagship that boasts of being not only the first Nseries Touch device, but also the first QWERTY. The N97 packs all of this in a side slideout QWERTY form factor which also houses a 1500 mAh battery. The N97 is packed with great specifications like a 3.5″ nHD Screen, a 5MP Camera with Dual Led Flash, Compass and the usual Nseries kit. Read on for full specifications and pictures. We are still concentrating on the N78 and N96 as upcoming Nseries devices in the near future, when there are already very interesting news over at the Mobile-Review forums which make us already face the next generation of Nokia’s multimedia line.

After the rumour about a possible Xenon flash (about which we still don’t know anything new), I didn’t hear anything important about the upcoming multimedia beast which shall be the real successor of Nokia’s more than successful one-year [...]

Nokia Conversations caught up with Danial Dhondt, designer of the upcoming N96 and Joeske Schellen, designer of the soon-to-launch N78. In this series of two videos, they chat about the collaborative process of designing Nokia devices and what goes into giving a phone a sense of identity.

No, this is really no April Fool as I did one by posting about the N96 White.
The N78, the successor of the N73 has been announced at Mobile World Congress together with the N96 as new middle class Nseries device with compact measures and up-to-date, but no high end features.

The N95 8GB or the N95-2 is the successor to the N95 Classic (N95-1). A lot has been already said about the device both positive and negative; it has generally been dubbed as Nokia’s answer to the loads of complaints people have had with the original. Now being a device which benefited from public feedback, Nokia had to get this right. This post investigates how successful has it been in the endeavour.

If someone were to go out and decide that he or she wanted the top Nseries device that practically did everything, most peoples’ advice would be to get an N9x device. After all they are Nokia’s flagships and you would think that they’d be the best device to get hold of. However while the above might have been true six months back, I would have to think hard, before I say yes to the above.
